Fruto Prohibido es un ensayo que empezó con esta idea del pecado de la biblia, que siempre me pareció como algo muy provocativo y muy erotico. Empezé a buscar plantas y animales de Brasil y de la Mata Atlântica y me gustó saber que la jabuticaba, que hay en mi jardín (en Brasil) es un fruto de este tipo de vegetación. Las dos chicas son como espejos para una y otra, y exploran el propio miedo y el deseo cuando se encuentran. Esta fue la imagen inicial que me despertó cuando empecé.
Forbidden Fruit is a work that starts with the idea of sin from the Bible, which always seemed to me like something very provocative and erotic. I was looking for plants and animals from Brazil from the Mata Atlântica and I was happy to acknowledge that jabuticaba, a fruit that I grow in my garden (in Brazil) is from this type of vegetation. The girls are like mirrors for eachother, and they explore their own fear and desire when they meet. This was the initial image that emerged in the beggining.
